By using Way of Nirvana you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
Educational purpose
The articles on this website are written to introduce the Buddha’s teaching (the Dhamma) in simple language. They are for general education and personal reflection. They are not a substitute for the guidance of a qualified teacher, monk or nun, and they do not represent the official view of any temple or organisation.
Accuracy of teachings
We try to explain the teachings faithfully and point to the original discourses. Summaries and explanations are our own and may contain mistakes or simplifications. For study, please consult the original texts and respected translations. If you notice an error, we are grateful when you let us know.
Meditation and wellbeing
Meditation guides are offered for general wellbeing. They are not medical or psychological advice. If you have a medical or mental-health condition, please consult a qualified professional before beginning an intensive practice, and stop if you feel distressed.
Poya dates
The Poya calendar is calculated astronomically for Sri Lanka time. Official Poya holidays can occasionally fall one day earlier or later. Please confirm important dates with the official government calendar or your temple.
